Cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and Italy's Liguria region were discussed

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Italy, Rashad Aslanov, visited Liguria on July 4-5, 2024. During his visit, he met with Augusto Sartori, Liguria's Deputy President for Labor and Active Employment Policy, Transport, Trade Union Relations, Tourism, Tourist Fairs and Major Events, and Mario Masha, Deputy Mayor of Genoa for Urban Planning, Maritime Affairs, State Property, Economic Development, Labor and Trade Union Relations.

R. Aslanov briefed the other side on Italy-Azerbaijan relations and developments in the region, followed by an exchange of views on potential cooperation prospects with the Liguria region.

The ambassador informed the other side about the recent Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
